Eligibility Criteria for 2026

To ensure the aid reaches the truly needy, the Punjab government uses the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) and BISP databases for verification. The latest eligibility standards include being a permanent resident of Punjab with a valid NADRA-verified CNIC and having a monthly household income below 60,000 PKR. Families with a poverty score (PMT) below 30 are prioritized. Applicants must not own a registered car, and current government employees or pensioners are ineligible for this specific relief package.

How to Check the Beneficiary List and Status

The government has introduced two primary ways for citizens to verify their status. The fastest method is SMS verification. Citizens can open their mobile messaging app, type their 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, and send it to 8070. An instant reply confirms eligibility or provides instructions to update data. Alternatively, beneficiaries can check the official PSER portal to view their detailed profile and see if their Nigehban Card has been dispatched to their local district office.

Card Distribution: Government teams are currently distributing cards door-to-door based on the PSER survey. If you are eligible but haven’t received yours, visit your local Tehsil Facilitation Center (Khidmat Markaz).
