New News: Ramzan Nigehban Card 10,000 Payment Beneficiary List 2026

CM Nigehban Card Program

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Government of Punjab has officially launched the CM Punjab Nigehban Card 2026. This flagship initiative aims to provide essential financial relief to over 4.2 million deserving families across the province, helping them navigate the economic pressures of the holy month of Ramadan with dignity. The Nigehban Card 2026 is a digitalized welfare program designed to replace traditional ration distribution lines with a transparent ATM-based system. Each eligible family is entitled to a one-time cash grant of 10,000 PKR. In addition to the cash assistance, many beneficiaries also receive a Rashan Bag containing essential items like 10kg of flour, 2kg of sugar, 2kg of ghee, and pulses.

Eligibility Criteria for 2026

To ensure the aid reaches the truly needy, the Punjab government uses the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) and BISP databases for verification. The latest eligibility standards include being a permanent resident of Punjab with a valid NADRA-verified CNIC and having a monthly household income below 60,000 PKR. Families with a poverty score (PMT) below 30 are prioritized. Applicants must not own a registered car, and current government employees or pensioners are ineligible for this specific relief package.

How to Check the Beneficiary List and Status

The government has introduced two primary ways for citizens to verify their status. The fastest method is SMS verification. Citizens can open their mobile messaging app, type their 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, and send it to 8070. An instant reply confirms eligibility or provides instructions to update data. Alternatively, beneficiaries can check the official PSER portal to view their detailed profile and see if their Nigehban Card has been dispatched to their local district office.

  • Eligibility Verification: Always check your status first by sending your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes) to 8070 via SMS.
  • Card Distribution: Government teams are currently distributing cards door-to-door based on the PSER survey. If you are eligible but haven’t received yours, visit your local Tehsil Facilitation Center (Khidmat Markaz).
  • Total Payment: The card grants a one-time financial assistance of 10,000 PKR specifically for Ramadan relief.
  • ATM Withdrawal: You can withdraw the cash from any Bank of Punjab (BOP) biometric ATM by using your thumbprint verification.

Payment and Card Collection Methods

The 2026 distribution is handled through a partnership with the Bank of Punjab and HBL. Most beneficiaries receive a specialized ATM card at their doorstep or can collect it from their local Tehsil facilitation center. For those without a physical card, payments can be collected via biometric thumb verification at designated retail shops. Cardholders can set their PIN through the official banking helpline or designated bank branches.

Distribution Schedule: March 2026

As of March 6, 2026, the distribution is being carried out in phases. Phase 1 is currently active in major hubs like Lahore, Faisalabad, Muzaffargarh, and Multan. Phase 2 is ongoing in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Sahiwal divisions, while Phase 3 for rural districts will start in mid-March. Beneficiaries are strictly advised never to share their ATM PIN with strangers and to report any agent demanding a fee or commission to the official toll-free helpline. The entire registration and distribution process is free of charge to ensure maximum relief for the poor.
